Badminton tournaments have been part of the Kingdom's sporting landscape for over two decades, and in recent years, the sport has gained remarkable recognition. Now, for the very first time, we're set to redefine the badminton experience with MediaOne's exclusive media presence — amplifying the excitement, passion, and energy of the game to a wider audience than ever before.
With over 40 categories, including a Super Premier category showcasing the best players from around the world, this landmark tournament promises an unforgettable experience for participants and spectators alike.
Men's Doubles: Premier, Championship, Flights 1 to 6, Mavis 350 Flight 5 and 6, Masters and Veterans.
Ladies Doubles: Flights 1 to 6.
Mixed Doubles: Championship, Flights 1 to 6, Under 13 and Under 17.
Family Doubles: Husband and Wife.
Boys & Girls Doubles: Under 9, 11, 13, 15, and 17.
Boys & Girls Singles: Under 9, 11, 13, 15, and 17.
Cut-off Date: January 1st
Under 9 years: Born on or after 01-01-2017
Under 11 years: Born on or after 01-01-2015
Under 13 years: Born on or after 01-01-2013
Under 15 years: Born on or after 01-01-2011
Under 17 years: Born on or after 01-01-2009
Masters Category: Above 35 years of age
Veterans Category: Above 45 years of age
Schedule: Registration and games start Thursday, Dec 11th at 5:30 PM. Friday, Dec 12th matches begin at 7:30 AM.
Entry Limit: Players are permitted to participate only in two doubles category other than mixed or family doubles and one singles category.
Registration Fee: SAR 75 per player for first entry, SAR 60 for second and third entry (maximum 3 entries per player).
Format: Tournament will be played on knock out basis. Minimum 8 players for singles and 6 teams for doubles required to constitute a flight.
Warm-up: Warming up time on the court is restricted to 2 minutes only.
No-Show Policy: Once registered, players should not leave premises without notifying control desk. Absent players during game announcement will be considered 'No-Show'.
Substitution: No substitution of partners normally allowed after fixtures are distributed. Tournament Committee is empowered to take appropriate decisions.
Umpires: Provided for all matches. Line umpires for selected games only. Umpire's decision is final.
Injury Time: 15 minutes injury time allowed. If unable to continue after 15 minutes, walkover given to opponents.
Shuttlecocks: Only tested shuttles are provided and no additional testing allowed before games.
Equipment: Players must bring their own badminton racket and shoes.
General Rule: If a player is a winner or three times runner-up of a certain flight, they will not be allowed to play in the same flight and will be promoted to the next higher flight.
Men's Doubles Premier Promotion: Due to skill level differences between Premier and Championship flights:
will be promoted from Championship to Premier Flight.
Technical Committee Authority: The Technical Committee reserves the right to alter a player's chosen flight based on number of entries and past experiences. In case of discrepancy, the Committee has the right to alter and promote the player's level any time during the tournament.

⚠️ Liability: As in any physical sport, there is a risk of injury. Participants are deemed to accept the risks. MediaOne will not be held liable or responsible for any injury sustained by any participant during the tournament.
đź’° Property Damage: Anyone found causing damage to club property will be liable to pay for damages and will be debarred from the tournament.
Partner Finding: Players are responsible for finding their own partners. In case of difficulties, participants may send open entries and the Tournament Committee will pair available entries without bias.
Complete Information Required: All queries on entry form must be completed with full name, gender, date of birth (as shown in passport), and affiliation to a Club or School.
First Come First Serve: Entries accepted on first come first serve basis until limited number is reached.
Footwear Policy: Players MUST leave their regular footwear outside the Court facility. Only non-marking indoor shoes allowed inside.
Media Rights: MediaOne has the right to use photos and videos taken during the tournament for media and advertising campaigns on their channel and social media platforms.
Final Authority: The Tournament Committee will have the final decision in matters of any dispute and/or in any situation not mentioned herein.
